I actually started in the real estate industry in the mid 90’s working in Title Insurance, Escrow and Mortgage.
While working in Title Insurance I got my real estate license. That was 1997.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it but I figured heck, it couldn’t be a bad thing right?
I moved on to the Mortgage business which I enjoyed but like anything had it’s pros and cons.
After a couple of years I decided to sell real estate full time. so I made the jump. That was about 2,000.
Because of my Title Insurance, Escrow and Mortgage background I was leaps and bounds ahead of the other agents I was up against.
I enjoyed a great amount of success, that is until the 2008 market crash. Like everyone, business got a bit tougher but it just meant we had to fight harder for every transaction and client.
It was about 2012-2013 when we came out of that crash.
I just found this photo I had taken in 2013 for my marketing materials. Notice the dark hair and slimmer figure.
I know the photos were only taken 6 years apart but 11 years after, I think I still look the same as the July 2019 photo.
I joke with everyone that in the last 11 years the real estate market has taken it’s toll on me and that’s why my hair is gray and I might be a little thicker.
Fact is that in 2013 I was coloring my hair because I was getting gray even in my early 30’s. Now, I really don’t care.
Which Anthony do you like best?
